Flowers is 6-0 against High Point since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Flowers Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the High Point Eagles at 7:00 p.m. High Point took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Flowers, who comes in off a win.
Flowers stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Parkdale at home to the tune of 51-12. Given Flowers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Parkdale is ranked 159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Flowers can attribute much of their success to Daquan Young, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and Aidan Garrett, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown. Garrett was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to High Point, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were beaten by DuVal 42-0 on Saturday. High Point was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Flowers' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for High Point, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Flowers against High Point in their previous meeting back in September of 2022 as the squad secured a 41-0 victory. Does Flowers have another victory up their sleeve, or will High Point turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
