Norfolk Catholic was handed a two-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Crofton on Saturday. Everything went Norfolk Catholic's way against Crofton as Norfolk Catholic made off with a 61-38 victory. Given Norfolk Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Crofton is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norfolk Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nolan Fennessy, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Fennessy has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Janssen, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Cedar Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Norfolk Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.
