The Greeley West Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Greeley Central Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greeley West is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Greeley West suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Windsor 102-43. Greeley West was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-19.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Dominic Florez, who scored eight points. River Ortiz was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Greeley Central took a serious blow against Longmont on Friday, falling 60-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greeley Central has scored all season.
Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Greeley Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Greeley West came up short against Greeley Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 51-45. Can Greeley West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
