Lausanne Collegiate has gone a perfect 4-0 against St. Benedict at Auburndale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lynx will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The last three games Lausanne Collegiate has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lausanne Collegiate will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Northpoint Christian, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lynx sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Trojans on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, St. Benedict at Auburndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Germantown. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 3, 2024.

Kyle Silvestro put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Silvestro was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Carson Twigg was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Lausanne Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything went Lausanne Collegiate's way against St. Benedict at Auburndale in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Lausanne Collegiate made off with an 11-0 win.
