Volleyball Recap: Eastland Starts off Right with Win over Oregon

Eastland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Oregon Hawks by a score of 2-0. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

While Eastland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20.

Eastland can attribute much of their success to Morgan McCullough, who had eight digs and two assists. That's the most assists McCullough has posted since back in October of 2024.

Coincidentally, Eastland and Oregon will both be playing Dakota the next time they take the court. The Hawks will host the Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
