The Riverdale Rebels will be playing at home against Lakeshore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Riverdale beat West Jefferson 53-42. Given Riverdale's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while West Jefferson is ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mazie Parmley, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Parmley hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Jaeshaunie Martin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Lakeshore won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by Salmen 77-44. Lakeshore was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-21.
Riverdale's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.8 points. As for Lakeshore, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
