Softball Recap: Westview Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Westview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 6-2 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Ella Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Morgan Rich, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Westview's record now sits at 10-8. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they moved to 4-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Westview will venture away from home to challenge Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they will welcome Triton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
