Westran made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Centralia, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hornets put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Westran's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Centralia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Westran will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Scotland County at 5:00 p.m. As for Centralia, they will square off against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
