In what's become a running theme this season, the Lyndhurst Golden Bears gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Weehawken as Lyndhurst made off with a 42-21 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Lyndhurst has posted since December 19, 2023.
Leading Lyndhurst to victory were Asya Akar and Brooke Harper. Akar scored 15 points, while Harper dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Harper hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Mayer, who scored four points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Lyndhurst is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Weehawken, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Lyndhurst will be playing at home against Fort Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Lee will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Lyndhurst is ranked 120th). As for Weehawken, they will head out on the road to take on Dickinson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dickinson is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
