The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Karli Challburg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Meanwhile, Cypress Ranch hadn't done well against Bridgeland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Cypress Ranch won by a run and slipped past Bridgeland 10-9.
Like Langham Creek, Cypress Ranch also got a great game from a two-way player: Rylie Tran. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Tran was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Langham Creek's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Cypress Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Langham Creek couldn't quite finish off Cypress Ranch in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can Langham Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
