Basketball Recap: Chilton Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Chilton Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Victory Christian Academy Eagles. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 58-47.

Despite the loss, Chilton Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Cayman Hamilton, who almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Hamilton has posted since back in January of 2024. Joshua Langston was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Victory Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Myrick, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 21 points and four steals. Myrick has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Bowman, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Chilton Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Victory Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.

Chilton Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 34-32 victory against Adullam House Christian Academy on the 28th. As for Victory Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 87-84 win against Brooklane Baptist on the 28th.
