Maine East found their leader in underclassman Arabella Silva, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Silva has scored at least 25% of Maine East's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nura Rayyan, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Maine East now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lincoln Park, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Maine East will square off against Normal University at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Normal University is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. Lincoln Park will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Northside at 5:00 p.m. on January 9th.
