Castle came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Henderson County Colonels by a score of 52-42. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 67th in Indiana, while the Colonels are ranked 14th in Kentucky).

Jayden Scott was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 12 on her way to 20 points. Paiton Mitchell was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Despite the loss, Henderson County still got an impressive performance from A'Tylia Green, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 17 points. Green is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Gibson, who posted 11 points.

Castle pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Henderson County, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Castle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-59 loss against South Knox on the 21st. As for Henderson County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-53 victory against Elizabethtown on the 21st.
