The Rocksprings Angoras can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Leakey as Rocksprings made off with a 79-53 win. The win was familiar territory for Rocksprings who now have seven in a row.
Rocksprings was led to victory by Hunter Taylor and Jeremiah Wilson. Taylor shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds, while Wilson dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Ty Hendley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds and seven assists.
Rocksprings has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Leakey, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-22.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocksprings will square off against the Bobcats at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Medina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1464th, while the Angoras are ranked 631st). As for Leakey, they will head out on the road to challenge the Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
