Given North Oldham's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Walton-Verona is ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Great Crossing's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for North Oldham, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-0.
