Chesterton faced Crown Point in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trojans fell  3-1 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  2-1  back in August.

 Luca Bombacino paced Chesterton's offense, picking up 16 kills. Bombacino got some help from  Reese Dilbeck and her 21 assists.  Delaney Barrett controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
  Bella Del Real had an outrageously good game for Crown Point as she  had 30  digs and three  aces. Del Real has been hot for a while, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last 17 times she's  played.  Kayliyah Deshields also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
Chesterton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Crown Point, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the  win, which was their 11th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Looking ahead, Chesterton will venture away from home to  square off against Portage  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Crown Point, they will take on Seymour at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
