The Kings Christian Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Orcutt Academy Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Kings Christian's favor as the squad sits on 19 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Orcutt Academy has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
Kings Christian can now show off 23 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-20 victory over Laton at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-14.
It was another big night for Ronnie Roche, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Kings Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Brouwer, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Orcutt Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 55-51 to Cabrillo. That's two games in a row now that Orcutt Academy has lost by exactly four points.
Kings Christian's victory bumped their record up to 27-2. As for Orcutt Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 13 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.
