Cuba-Rushford got a massive performance out of Claire Moyer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four hits gave Moyer a new career-high. Kate Radomski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two triples and three runs.
Cuba-Rushford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fillmore never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They came out on top against Andover by a score of 4-0.
Mylee Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morghyn Ross, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Cuba-Rushford's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Fillmore, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
