Palmer Ridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They really took it to the Ponderosa Mustangs for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-14 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.
Jackson Mabe had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 189 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Those 189 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Cole Harris was another key player, throwing for 200 yards and a pair of TDs.

Coming up, Palmer Ridge is taking a road trip to take on Doherty at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ponderosa, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Rampart at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
