After flying high against the Newman International Academy Warriors two weeks ago, The Rosehill Christian Eagles came back down to earth. Rosehill Christian took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Frassati Catholic. Rosehill Christian lost against Frassati Catholic in their previous head to head back in September of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 13-7 score last time.
Despite the loss, Rosehill Christian still got an impressive performance from Trey Walker III, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Caleb Davila was in the mix as well, providing Rosehill Christian with two touchdowns.
Among those leading the charge was Charlie Strahley, who rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Patrick Rice was another key contributor, rushing for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Frassati Catholic's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Ignacio Lasta and his two sacks.
Rosehill Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Frassati Catholic, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosehill Christian will take on Northland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northland Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Frassati Catholic, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on St. Andrew's at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (St. Andrew's is ranked 935th, while Frassati Catholic is ranked 952nd).
