The Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 40-35 victory over Noble Street College Prep on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Muchin College Prep also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Muchin College Prep was led to victory by Jalen McIntyre and Tristen Batts. McIntyre dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Batts scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Batts has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Gipson, who scored no points along with seven assists.
Noble Street College Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chris Pulliams, who scored nine points.
Muchin College Prep's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Noble Street College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muchin College Prep will take on Golder at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Golder knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Muchin College Prep likes a good challenge. As for Noble Street College Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against UIC College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
