The Hanover-Horton Comets were handed a two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Homer Trojans on Thursday. Hanover-Horton claimed a resounding 76-43 victory over Homer on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Hanover-Horton has managed all season.
Leading Hanover-Horton to victory were Logan Blackledge and Luke Soper. Blackledge scored 21 points along with four steals, while Soper dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Blackledge has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Kaiden Henry was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Hanover-Horton pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Homer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover-Horton will square off against Leslie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Homer, they will head out on the road to take on Grass Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
