Baseball Game Preview: Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs vs. Trinity Academy Tigers

For the second straight game, Wake Christian Academy will face off against Trinity Academy. Wake Christian Academy will head out to face off against Trinity Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wake Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Wake Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Trinity Academy 22-1. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Brody Morris made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Carter Collins was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Wake Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Trace Turner, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Wake Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Wake Christian Academy's record is now 6-3. As for Trinity Academy, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
