The Lawrence Tigers couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 64-42 walloping at the hands of Eau Claire on Tuesday. Lawrence has struggled against Eau Claire recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Loss or not, Lawrence got some senior leadership from Ben McCaw who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds and Zander Payment who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Eau Claire, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Lawrence will head out on the road to face off against Bloomingdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eau Claire, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Howardsville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
