After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Merritt Island Christian, the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 30-24 win over Master's Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Calvary Chapel Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Master's Academy still got an impressive performance from Carissa Hennessey, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and five steals. Hennessey hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Holderman, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Calvary Chapel Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Master's Academy, their loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20.
Calvary Chapel Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. As for Master's Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Florida Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
