There's no place like home for the Jay Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 42-35 win over Reagan on Friday. This was payback for Jay, who suffered a 56-22 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Sincere Jackson, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Jay's points. Another player making a difference was Carley Reyes, who scored 6 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joana Lopez, who scored 14 points. The contest was Lopez's third in a row with at least ten points. Renata Parga was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Jay has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Reagan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.
Jay will square off against Madison at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
