The Iraan Braves are on the road again on Friday to play the Winters Blizzards at 7:00 p.m. Iraan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 point or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Winters likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Iraan blew past Crane, posting a 53-8 win on the road. Fans of the Braves have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ point.
Prather Schneemann was a one-man wrecking crew for Iraan as he threw for 368 yards and six touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Tristan Griffin, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Iraan wouldn't let Crane keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Noah Gasser, Aiden Mendoza, and Cade Cravens picked up one apiece. Cravens is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Winters' offense. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of Sterling City. The Blizzards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Iraan's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Winters, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Iraan was dealt a bruising 40-6 loss at the hands of Winters in their previous meeting back in October of 2019. Can Iraan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
