Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Fort Wayne Bishop Luers. The Saints came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Fort Wayne North Side extended the longest winning streak in Summit this week by beating Fort Wayne Northrop, 42-16. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
David Morrison threw for 299 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 20-29 with 2 interceptions.
Shaton Harris was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 139 yards on 13 carries as Fort Wayne South Side defeated Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory. Teammate Latrell Ware added to the ground attack by rushing for 54 yards.
The Cadets' Morrison and Minich have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Morrison has thrown for 2,240 yards this season, while Minich has 71 catches for 984 yards. The Archers' Donovan Clark leads the league in rushing yards with 744.
Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's Minich is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 16 receiving yards against Lakeland to hit that benchmark. So far this year, he has acheived 71 catches for 984 yards.
The Knights fell to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 35-2 last week, the largest margin of any game. Austin Mack was a bright spot for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, as he caught 6 passes for 40 yards in the loss.
