Linden has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Flint Southwestern Academy Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Linden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Linden pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Frankenmuth. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (57), Linden still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Flint Southwestern Academy ended up a good deal behind North Branch on Friday and lost 49-34. While losing is never fun, Flint Southwestern Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 567th, while North Branch is ranked 233rd).
Linden has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Flint Southwestern Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
