The Pitman Panthers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Salem County Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Pitman and six for Salem County Vo-Tech.
On Tuesday, Pitman was the victim of a tough 53-31 loss at the hands of Clayton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pitman in their matchups with Clayton: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Salem County Vo-Tech had to suffer through a rough 70-29 loss at the hands of Wildwood. While losing is never fun, Salem County Vo-Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Wildwood is ranked 95th).
Pitman has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Salem County Vo-Tech, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Pitman was able to grind out a solid win over Salem County Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 50-38. Does Pitman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Salem County Vo-Tech turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
