Davies Career & Tech and Tiverton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Patriots will head out to face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Davies Career & Tech took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Paul Cuffee.

Gabriella Fisher made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Darelyn Maldonado was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kylie Robert was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
Davies Career & Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Tiverton put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let Juanita Sanchez Complex on the board, marking the Tigers' second-straight 16-0 shutout. The Tigers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last five matches.
Like Davies Career & Tech, Tiverton also got a great game from a two-way player: Lia Doster. On the mound, Doster struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Liliana Luis tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Doster went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Luis fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Carlie Martin and Kelsey Conway did most of the damage at the plate: Martin went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Conway went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. That home run was Martin's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Sowa, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Davies Career & Tech's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tiverton, their record is now 15-0.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Davies Career & Tech has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .532. However, it's not like Tiverton struggles in that department as they've averaged .558. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Davies Career & Tech skirted past Tiverton 11-9 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
