This season hasn't been kind to the Antelope Rams, who are still winless after their eighth match. They took a serious blow against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy on Tuesday, falling 43-13.
North Phoenix Preparatory Academy found their leader in underclassman Samantha Daniel, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniel has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ellaina Wakeham, who scored eight points along with 20 rebounds and three steals.
Antelope bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.3 points per game. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-12.
Antelope's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bagdad at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. Bagdad's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Antelope's offense will have their work cut out for them. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Anthem Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th.
