Merritt Island had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Santa Fe Raiders with a sharp  3-0 victory on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their 22nd in a row.
 The  win didn't come easy: Santa Fe scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23,  25-18.
 Lydia Scott paced Merritt Island's offense, picking up ten kills. Scott got some help from  Annabelle Jones and her 18 assists. Finally,  Scott was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Merritt Island's victory bumped their record up to 28-2. As for Santa Fe,  with the  loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 20-10.
 Coming up, after both having extra time off, Merritt Island and South Walton will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 10:00  a.m.  on November 7. Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
