The matchup between Duval Charter and St. Johns Country Day on Monday hardly resembled the 30-22 effort from their previous meeting. Duval Charter was outmatched by St. Johns Country Day at home and fell 79-28. Duval Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-17.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Harvest Community had to settle for a 45-42 defeat against Bishop Snyder on Tuesday.
Duval Charter bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.3 points per game. As for Harvest Community, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Duval Charter came up short against Harvest Community when the teams last played back in November of 2015, falling 46-38. Can Duval Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
