The Branchville Yellow Jackets had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 56-0 loss at the hands of North.
North was led to victory by CoCo Charley and Alayshia Mack. Charley scored 8 points along with 8 assists and 5 steals, while Mack scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mack has scored at least 25% of North's points. Another player making a difference was Dianne Hosey, who scored 4 points along with 8 steals.
Branchville's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for North, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Branchville will head out on the road to face off against Lake Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North, they will be playing at home against Fairfield Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
