The Catalina Foothills Falcons fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Higley Knights on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Knights 56-52. Catalina Foothills lost against Higley in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 74-63 score last time.
Higley found their leader in underclassman Noah Gloor, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gloor has scored at least 25% of Higley's points. Donovan Dabney was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Catalina Foothills has fallen quite a ways from their 19-8 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Higley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Catalina Foothills will head out on the road to face off against Marana at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Marana focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. As for Higley, they will be playing at home against Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Higley likes a good challenge.
