Bloomington Central Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Bloomington Central Catholic easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19.

Aubrey Fair paced Bloomington Central Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Fair got some help from Josie Certa and her 27 assists. Kampbell Niepagen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bloomington Central Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge Tri-Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
