3AA - North recap September 10, 2013
Juan Diego Catholic was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Cyprus. The Soaring Eagles came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Uintah and Union played the most contested game in 3AA - North this week, with Uintah eventually emerging with a 16-15 victory. Tyson Colton ran for 134 yards and caught 2 passes for 30 yards during the win.
The Utes' dynamic duo of Braxton Coonis and Dylen Hanks proved tough for the Cougars to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Coonis threw for 232 yards and Hanks had 67 yards receiving. Hunter Conelly helped Uintah's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 43 yards.

Adam Pace was a force in the backfield as Tooele beat Canyon View.
Hanks was the best wideout in the league this week as Cody Reutzel's team defeated Matt Labrum's team.
Coonis put up the best numbers in passing as the Utes topped the Cougars.
Pace was the best running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 217 yards as the Buffaloes topped Union. Teammate Ryan Brady added to the ground attack by rushing for 49 yards.
Maka Kioa was a key player and the best on defense this week as Tooele bested the Falcons. The 5-foot-10 junior grabbed 2.0 sacks.
The Utes' Coonis and Haden Bunderson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 3AA - North in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Coonis has thrown for 839 yards this season, while Bunderson has 12 catches for 269 yards. Pace from Kyle Brady's team leads the league in rushing with 290 yards.
At the moment, the Buffaloes are in fourth, while Bear River is in third.
Ben Lomond fell to Morgan 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jonathon Gross was a bright spot for the Scots, as he threw for 28 yards and ran for 22 yards in the loss.
