Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bartlett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samiya Jones, who shot 82% from the field en route to 25 points and six boards. Those 25 points gave Jones a new career-high. Amare Boothe was another key player, going 8-for-10 to rack up 18 points.
Bartlett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Collierville earned a 60-52 victory over Whitehaven on Monday.
Bartlett better focus on containing Danae Kennedy and Jaliyah Kelly as the pair were huge in Collierville's win. Kennedy almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Kelly shot 55% from the field on her way to 21 points and five boards. Kennedy has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilly Ann Jennings, who posted six points and eight boards.
Bartlett's win bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Collierville, their victory bumped their record up to 24-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bartlett has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Collierville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
