The IMG Academy Blue Ascenders will head out to take on The Villages Charter Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with IMG Academy Blue sitting on three straight victories and The Villages Charter on six.
IMG Academy Blue had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Central Pointe Christian Academy on Wednesday. The Ascenders were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the CPCA.
Carson Flanagan tossed a big game, not allowing a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because IMG Academy Blue is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 6-8 otherwise.
