Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Gilroy Mustangs and fell 77-40. On the bright side, the 40- point performance marked the Falcons' highest-scoring matchup to date.

When it comes to explaining why Hill lost, don't look at Micah Abundiz. Despite the final result, he shot 80% from the field en route to 16 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Khann, who posted six points.

Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gilroy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-30 loss against MacDonald on the 9th. As for Gilroy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-60 victory against Soledad on the 5th.
