It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-23, which was the final score in Kenston's's tilt against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kenston has scored all season.
Kenston's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aurora Young, who scored seven points along with three steals. Young scored a full 30.4% of Kenston's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Kenston's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-9. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston will take on Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 531st, while Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is ranked 120th).
