Softball Recap: Clay Wins Going Away Against Ross

Clay won the last time they faced Ross and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Little Giants. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Clay is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ross, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay will host St. Mary Catholic Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons/Kestrels will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ross, they will square off against Napoleon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
