There's no place like home for the Centralia Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took down Hanover 68-52 on Friday. This was a revenge contest for Centralia, as the team was forced to settle for a 50-45 loss when these two played last Friday.
Hanover's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Garrett Martin, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braylon Meyn, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Centralia pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Hanover, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centralia will challenge the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Troy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Hanover, they will head out on the road to take on the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Onaga is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
