Two dominant signal callers in Landon Roth and Parker Zikmund are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Milford Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Central City Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Milford sitting on five straight victories and Central City on six.
On Friday, Milford got the win against Minden by a conclusive 35-12. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Roth, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Roth is also on a roll when it comes to receiving touchdowns, as he's now hauled in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Zeb Reil also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.
Milford didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Minden to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Roth and Drake Roth, who each logged one passes deflected. Milford hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.58 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Central City humbled Lincoln Christian with a 35-8 victory. Give the Bison's offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.
Central City's win came from a few key players Milford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Corbin Kyes, who rushed for 148 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Wyatt Dent also helped out with an impressive 98 receiving yards.
Central City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Quinn Jensen and Will Poland.
Milford's record now sits at 5-1. As for Central City, their record is now 6-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Milford has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 165.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Central City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 164.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Milford was dealt a bruising 55-7 defeat at the hands of Central City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 28-7.
