The Langley Saxons put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Yorktown as Langley made off with a 54-31 win. Langley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Anya Rahman, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and five assists. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Vicky Zawisza, who scored 13 points.
Langley's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Yorktown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Langley will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Falls Church at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yorktown will finish 2023 at home by hosting Gar-Field at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
