The Lee Ganders lost against the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs back in December of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lee took a 42-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lamar Consolidated.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lamar Consolidated to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shafeeq Mujahideen, who scored 16 points. The match was Mujahideen's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Mahood, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lamar Consolidated, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee will take on Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dayton is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Lamar Consolidated, they will be playing at home against Needville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
