Lake Arthur scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Eunice 69-14 at home. Lake Arthur might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 31 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, North Vermilion earned a 50-41 win over Ville Platte on Tuesday. Given North Vermilion's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Ville Platte is ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lake Arthur's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for North Vermilion, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
