The Ramapo Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Ridgewood Maroons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ramapo comes in on seven and Ridgewood on three.
Last Friday, Ramapo faced NV - Old Tappan in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ramapo came out on top against NV - Old Tappan by a score of 31-24. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Ramapo was the better team in the second half.
Zach Schnorrbusch and Landon De prima were among the main playmakers for Ramapo as the former picked up 180 receiving yards and a touchdown and the latter threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ridgewood beat Montclair 30-24 on Friday.
Bobby Kuenzler had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
Ramapo's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 6-1 Somers and 4-3 Hackensack (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64.3% over those games). As for Ridgewood, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Ramapo took their win against Ridgewood in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 38-12. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Ridgewood's Tahir Kenyatta, who rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Ramapo to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
