Hillhouse and Wilbur Cross played the closest game in Southern Connecticut Division II - West this week, with Hillhouse eventually emerging with a 21-19 victory. Harold Cooper ran for 135 yards in the win.
Guilford's dynamic duo of Joe Nault and Anthony Pensa proved to be unstoppable against Hand, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Nault threw for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns and Pensa had 66 yards receiving. Nash Singleton helped Guilford's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 27 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Trojans' Kyle Smith and Jerry Rodriguez have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Smith has thrown for 1,267 yards this season, while Rodriguez has 31 catches for 577 yards. Cooper from the Academics leads the league in rushing with 1,711 yards.
